Rules for Filling High-Pressure Cylinders

To safely fill a cylinder with oxygen, the following must be excluded:

• Components that are not approved for use in an oxygen environment;
• Contact of oil or grease with the surface;
• Use of non-degreased gaskets and components;
• Occurrence of gas leaks.

To prevent damage, the following must be excluded:

• Cylinders nearing the end of their inspection period;
• Cylinders incompatible with the gases being filled;
• Cylinders with expired service life;
• Damaged cylinders (dents or chips);
• Cylinders with corrosion;
• Cylinders with illegible passports (unreadable cylinder number or manufacturing date).

To prevent loss of tightness, it is necessary to:

• Use properly functioning valves.
