Neon is an inert gas, colorless and odorless, obtained by low-temperature fraction distillation of neon-helium mixture.

Neon in its pure form is practically never found on Earth, although in observable space it is considered the fifth most common. It is obtained through a complicated, multi-step and rather expensive process.

  • Noble gas without color and smell
  • Chemically inert
  • Non-flammable gas
  • Non-toxic gas
  • Narcotic effect on the body
  • Filling of indicator lamps and gas-discharge tubes;
  • Creating a working environment in certain types of gas laser systems;
  • Manufacturing of microchips, processors, and other radio-electronic equipment;
  • Filling of signal lamps for equipping lighthouses and airports;
  • Production of photocells, rectifiers, etc.

In medicine, a neon-helium-oxygen mixture is in demand. It is used to prevent gas embolism and nitrogen narcosis in deep-sea divers, as well as to improve the condition of patients with impaired respiratory function.

Liquefied Ne – an effective cooling agent required for the operation of certain types of cryogenic systems, for example, for storing rocket fuel.

Transportation of Cylinders must be carried out in a horizontal position with spacers between the Cylinders or in a vertical position, always with protection against possible falling. Transportation in palletized form in special containers is permitted.

Joint transportation with Cylinders containing oxygen is not allowed.

Movement/transportation must comply with the codes of the relevant mode of transport, federal laws, other regulatory acts, and the legislation of the country where the movement/transportation/transshipment takes place.

Pure nitrogen is dangerous when transporting
