 Octafluoropropane (Octafluoropropane, R218, freon-218) is an effective refrigerant. It can be obtained either by electrochemical fluorination or by the Fowler method using cobalt fluoride.

Cylinders should be transported in a horizontal position with spacers between the cylinders or in a vertical position with protection against possible falling. Transport in packaged form in special containers is permitted.

Joint transportation with oxygen cylinders is not allowed.

Movement/transportation must comply with the codes of the corresponding type of transport, federal laws, other regulatory acts, and the legislation of the country where the movement/transportation/handling takes place.

If the cylinders are lying horizontally, they should be secured to prevent rolling. The recommended arrangement for cylinder placement during road transport: near the front wall perpendicular to the direction of movement, in the rest of the body — lengthwise or crosswise, with the valve towards the center.
