Propane is an organic substance that is part of natural gas. Propane contains a fairly large number of impurities, so it requires quality purification.

Pure propane is used as a component in calibration gas mixtures in the gas and chemical industries. In addition, the gas is applicable as a natural refrigerant R-290 (99.5% purity). Propane is also necessary as a combustible gas in photometry.

The transportation of liquefied propane under pressure is allowed by any means of transport - automotive, railway, or water - in special containers. Transportation of flammable gas is possible in sealed cylinders designed for pressure operation.

Propane gas under pressure can be transported at ambient temperature, it does not require additional cooling. However, to avoid overheating, it is recommended to transport the gas at a temperature below 45 ºC.

Pure propane is an extremely flammable substance. Containers for transportation and storage must be protected from any overheating and open flame.

Gas cylinders are placed only horizontally. During transportation, the containers must be securely fastened. Store in a cool place.
